THESE RULES BELONG TO MARCHAL FEST, AND MARCHAL FEST ONLY. DO NOT STEAL THEM OR ANYTHING ELSE ON THIS SITE. ANY BREAKING OF THE RULES WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE BANNING.
1] No god-moding. Nobody is the supreme ruler or is all powerful. Seriously people, you should have heard this one enough to have the sense that it’s going to be on just about every site out there.
2] In the real world, nobody’s perfect, so it only makes sense that it would apply to the site as well. I’m not saying that your girl can’t be a completely gorgeous supermodel, just don’t make her be the kindest gentlest most loving person in the world. It just doesn’t happen.
3] This is an intermediate-advanced rpg, so make sure ALL of your posts are at least six LINES long. Everybody has a bad day, I understand, I have plenty of them, but even if your muse is lacking, please at least attempt something.
4] Super big duh- read the rules before even making an account on here, please. I don’t even know why this is a rule, but if you’re reading it, then you’re obviously following this rule. So here, make sure that when you fill out your application that you put ‘Welcome To The Black Parade’ in the 'anything else' spot. That way I know you read this ^^.
5] When you type up a post, make sure to use correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, ect. It gets really annoying when you’re rping with somebody and every time they type ‘I’ they don’t capitalize it. Or something of the sort.
6] Only one character per account, and only three characters per person. This is here to avoid confusion if possible. I will, however, make an exception to that rule if you wish to have more characters and are an excellent rper and are active and I love you.
7] If you’re playing a cannon character, a real celebrity for example, make sure you /are/ that person. For example; you wouldn’t see Paris Hilton giving $100 to starving children dying of AIDS in Africa, so if you’re playing her /don’t do that/! You don’t know how much things like that annoy me.
8] If you’re using an original character, please make sure they have some structure to them, that they’re interesting or have some little odd quirk. That way people will want to rp with you. Like, say your character was extremely terrified of the dark. That would make a thread with your character at night one that many would probably like to reply too.
9] Chatspeak can only be used in the cbox. /No/ exceptions.
10] If you must put something OOC in an IC post, then please specify that it is indeed OCC with something like [ooc- blahblahblah] or whatever.
11] Yes, your characters are allowed to be straight, bisexual, gay/lesbian, homophobic, racist, sexist, or whatever. Just please, don’t go overboard with it. Then it goes from being interesting to being annoying.
12] If /you/ are racist, homophobic, sexist, or something like that, then please do not join this site. I can’t stop you if you’re determined, but if you do join and you are, then don’t shove it into peoples faces or show it at all, otherwise you’ll be banned immediately.
13] BE NICE! You can’t know how many times I’ve seen this rule, and still people don’t follow it. IC fighting is understandable, but please, don’t take it into OOC. If you and another person absolutely must fight, then don’t do it here. Take it somewhere else, like AIM or whatever.
14] If your character is in a band, real or imaginary, make sure that you have them perform with their band at one point or another. It kind of defeats the purpose of this site being a music festival if nobody puts on a show ever.
15] Make sure that your character has a reason for being at the festival. Whether they’re a musician, reporter, roadie, groupie, fan, merch kid, tech guy, or whatever, they have to have a reason, and be sure to specify that in your application.
16] There are probably more rules that I’ve forgotten to add, so we’ll just leave it at this for now.
Nevermind. I thought of more.
17] Romance is allowed, but if the thread has sexual content, please lable it with an [R] or something of the sort. If you wish for your character to be pregnant, then PM me so we can talk about it.
18] No pornography allowed in any signatures or pictures. Yes, your character can be a porn star, just, we don't want to /see/ it.
19] The staff members rule all. If they tell you to do something, then you do it. No questions asked. We respect you, so please respect us.
20] Do not post anywhere IC untill you've been accepted. It's common sense.
21] If you wish to have a major side plot, make sure to clear it with an admin first. It may interfere with the main plot, and we don't want that, now do we?
22] If you want to rp with a specific person, and make sure to ask them first, then you may tag them. To tag a person, let's say you want George to reply to one of your threads, you simply put [George] in the thread title you want them to reply too. Nobody else may reply to that thread, only George can. But, if you don't care who replys, then you can put [Open] or [Anyone] in the thread title, so that people know they can reply. Or you can just leave it blank. Doesn't matter.
23] There, now I think that I've got all the rules down. I'll add more if I think of them.
Please take note: I am able to change these rules whenever I see fit, seeing as I created them. Do not steal them, or anything on this site, otherwise I'll come after you and chop off your arms so you'll have to type with your toes. HA!
